My sister has been wanting me to try this and I finally did! She was right! It IS delicious!! Flaky and sweet.....Delicious flavor and made with BUTTER! :):)
3 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup butter
1/2 cup ice water
Mix flour and sugar together,cut in butter,stir water in with fork or spoon until mixed.Roll out as normal.:)
Well, you know I'm a "lard" crust Mama- and I'll continue using lard... but, I do have to say--- I was privileged to try this crust while we were visiting, and it was really a good crust. (I'll likely use this recipe when those who are not fond of lard will be eating my pies and tarts!) So, for any of you non-lard type ladies... this is a great crust to try. :)
